Genux Executive – Privacy Policy

In the context of our customised courses for recruitment, outplacement, career counselling, or management advice and discussion and feedback, as data controller we collect and process certain personal data about the people who participate in the courses.

This Privacy Policy describes the processing of personal data. If you are taking part in a customised course, please read it carefully.

1. Categories of personal data and the purpose of the processing

We collect and process the following types of personal data about you:

  • Identification and contact information
  • Marital status and family relationships
  • CV
  • Photo (often on your CV)
  • Contract terms (salary, bonus, pension, car, share/options/warrants programme)
  • Education, professional background, qualifications, competencies, courses, certifications and language skills
  • Job preferences and desires
  • Personality and skill tests
  • Hobbies and leisure interests
  • Any board positions, volunteer work and unpaid duties
  • Expectations vis-à-vis future terms of employment
  • Any terms of notice from your current employer
  • Information and agreements vis-à-vis the specific course
  • Depending on specific circumstances, trade union affiliation and health information: e.g. information about necessary adaptation measures

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • Organisation and implementation of customised courses on recruitment, outplacement, career counselling and/or management advice and discussion and feedback, and coaching and assessments.
  • Assessment of your professional and social qualifications and attributes in relation to the course
  • Storing your profile in our candidate database
  • Billing
  • Compliance with applicable data protection legislation and other legitimate interests: e.g. documentation obligation, compliance with basic principles for the processing of personal data and legal authority for the processing, implementation and maintenance of technical and organisational security measures, investigation of suspected, or knowledge of security breaches and reporting to individuals and authorities, handling enquiries and complaints from data subjects and others, processing necessary for legal claims to be established, asserted or defended, handling inspections and enquiries from regulatory authorities, handling disputes with data subjects and third parties

When we collect personal data directly from you for the above purposes, you provide us with the personal data voluntarily. You are not obliged to provide us with this personal data. The consequences of not providing us with the personal data will be that we will not be able to organise the course for you, if this data is essential to the process.

If you take part in a course initiated by your current or former employer, some personal data may be collected from that employer, and we may collect data in the form of statements from other previous employers, if you give your consent.

2. Disclosure of personal data
If you agree, the personal data will be disclosed to, and shared with relevant recipients.

3. Legal basis
The legal basis for the collection and processing of personal data for the purpose of billing the course is the fulfilment of our contract with you or your previous or current employer vis-à-vis the course: see Article 6 (1) of the Data Protection Regulation 1, letter b.

The legal basis for the collection, processing and transfer of the remaining personal data relating to your profile, your qualifications and the course in which you take part is your consent: see Article 6 (1) of the Data Protection Regulation 1, letters a and 9, para. 2, letter a.

You have the right to revoke your consent at any time. However, if you revoke your consent, the revocation will not affect the processing prior to the revocation of the consent.

The other above-mentioned legitimate purposes, which Genux conducts take place in accordance with Article 6 (1) of the Data Protection Regulation. 1, letter f.

4. Transfer of personal data to data processors
We do not transfer the personal data to IT providers who process

and store personal data other than to the relevant persons mentioned in Pt. 2.

5. Transfer of personal data to recipients in countries outside the EU/EEA

We do not transfer personal data to other countries located outside the EU/EEA without further consent.

6. Retention period
We will retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the above stated purposes, but not longer than 6 months.

For recruitment tasks, the personal data is stored until the guarantee period has expired.

7. Your rights

You have the following rights (under the terms of, and with the exceptions provided by law):

  • The right to access personal data
  • The right to have incorrect personal data amended
  • The right to have personal data deleted
  • The right to have personal data restricted
  • The right to data portability

You also have the right to complain to a competent supervisory authority, including the Danish Data Protection Agency.

Right to object
You have the right – for reasons relating to your particular situation – to object to the processing of personal data where the legal basis is legitimate interests, as stated above. Genux may then no longer process the personal data unless Genux demonstrates compelling legitimate reasons for the processing that take precedence over your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is necessary for legal claims to be established, asserted or defended.
